2020 Team Tennis Rules and Guidelines for UIL Playoffs Course

This course covers rules and guidelines for UIL Post-Season play specific for the 2020 Team Tennis Playoff season. It can be used as a refresher for coaches that make the playoffs and also as a certification process for a prospective "Site Official" of Team Tennis matches. This course provides a great opportunity for a coach, whose team qualifies for the playoffs, to use as a sort of checklist of things to do before, during, and after a playoff match.  This course also provides an opportunity for a potential "site official" to learn the rules and guidelines for the UIL postseason so that they better understand the procedures for a playoff match. A Certificate will be available for proof of completion after the course is completed and a 100% score on the test questions.

Q:  How many wrong attempts do I get before it moves to the next question?

A:  You are allowed one wrong answer (allowing you to choose again) before you will be directed to the next question.

Q:  Are Site Officials mandatory for Team Tennis UIL Playoff matches?

A:  No, it is not mandated that a "site official" be present at Team Tennis matches.  It is up to the discretion of the competing coaches.

Q:  Do Site Officials need to be USTA Officials?  Can a Site Official be a USTA Official?

A:  No, a site official can be anyone who knows the rules and passes this course assessment with a score of 100% but the two competing coaches may hire a USTA Official to be their match official.

Q:  Do both coaches need to agree on who will be a Site Director?

A:  Both coaches need to agree on who the Site Director will be, otherwise, the decision will be made by a coin flip.
